Review of Disney on Ice and why you should go
This was a hosted event. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Growing up, I was a figure skater, and Disney on Ice was something always so magical to me. I even wanted to be one of the characters in the show, but it takes more than want, lol. So now as an adult, I get to take my kids to the show and see the sparkle in their eyes as they watch. If you’ve never been to a Disney on Ice show, then you’re in luck. The fam bam and I are going to break it down to everything you need to know about the Mickey and Friends show we went to, and why you should go.
Know before you go to Disney on Ice
Masks are required for entry to all the shows at the North Charleston Coliseum. Only clear bags, Diaper bags (with a child), or small clutches are allowed inside.
Dates and Times:
Disney on Ice – Mickey and Friends is playing at the North Charleston Coliseum from 10/28-10/31/2021. Make sure to check this link for dates and times of shows near you. The show runs about 1.5 hours to 2 hours, and there’s an intermission half way through.
Price:
Tickets start at $15, but make sure to check the Disney on Ice website to confirm. You’ll probably be buying your tickets there anyway.
Parking was $10 at the North Charleston Coliseum. If you check your local venue, they’ll probably have a price listed as well.
Also be prepared for a plethora of swag – most starting at $15. The food court at our coliseum had a kids pack for $5, which included a hot dog, fries, chips, and a kid soda. They had other items starting at $5, and drinks starting at $1.
Weather and What to Wear:
Check your weather for the outside, but it was very comfortable inside. We took off our jackets, and felt fine. Of course the littles dressed up in their favorite characters (Carter didn’t… he was too cool), and I did what I guess is called Disney Bound. Where you don’t wear the costume, but you dress up like them with say, the same colors that their outfit has. Who knew?!?!?!
Our review of Disney on Ice – Mickey and Friends
What can I say? It was another amazing show. Disney on Ice brought back so many princesses and the acrobatics did not disappoint this time around either. I think this show was even more interactive than the previous ones, and we all had a great time. Cotton candy and all the treats helps too! We definitely recommend Disney on Ice to you all!
Why you should go to Disney on Ice
You may think that Disney on Ice is only fun for little girls, but it’s actually a lot of fun for the whole family. My son who thinks he’s too cool now, actually enjoys the shows a lot once he’s there. It’s not just an average ice show – there’s lots of acrobatics and theatrics as well.
There really is some kind of magic to Disney. With all the stresses in the world, and just every day life, Disney on Ice just brings excitement back to all of us, and our worries go away for a couple of hours. Now if you’re wondering which princesses and characters you’re going to see, then scroll down through the pictures and check it out.
Make sure to let me know if you’ve ever been to a Disney on Ice show, or if you’re planning on going.
Looks like you had a great time.
