Where the free San Diego Summer Concert Series are
Did you see that? FREE! Every summer, the different neighborhoods in San Diego hosts a free Summer Concert in the Parks series. They’re all some type of cover band, but if you’re lucky, you may get a special pop in like in years past. It’s a great night out with family and friends as you picnic, sip on your lovely libations, and dance the night away.

We used to go to the Point Loma Summer Concerts but recently moved, so it’ll be fun to check out our new town’s concerts and compare. Ohhhhh…… Alright alright. Enough about that. Scroll through to find your neighborhood concert series, click on the link for the headliner and any schedule changes, and be sure to tag me (@spousesproutsme) in your Instagram photos. I’d love to see your pictures!

And because we don’t want to be that person….
- Bring a blanket or low back seats. Don’t block the people behind you.
- MAKE SURE TO CHECK THE LINKS for up to date information. Plans may change. Things happen. Don’t say I didn’t tell you so.
- Pack a picnic and remember to pick up and throw out your trash.
- Bring cash. Most of these venues will have food vendors. I don’t know if they all accept cards.
- DO NOT bring glass. Glass is a no-no.
- CHECK THE WEBSITE to make sure alcohol is allowed. You don’t want to waste your pretty penny on a lovely libation if it’s just going to go straight in the trash and a citation in your pocket.
- Pets are like family, but the concert may not let all family in. Check to make sure pets are allowed.
- Parking may be a pain in the ass, and the park may be loaded. Arrive early!
- AND…. Arrive alive, don’t drink and drive! Walk, take Uber, Lyft, a cab, the bus, whatever. Just don’t drink and drive. We don’t want others getting hurt because you’re too cheap. JKJKJK but seriously!
With that said, enjoy the concerts and be remember to TAG ME on the GRAM. The Instagram. @spousesproutsme .
